Position Summary

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our Engineering team. In this role, you will be required to perform the engineering tasks necessary for the development of electrical control system designs for a wide array of products

Essential Duties and Requirements

• Use computer aided drafting software to generate electrical schematics and drawings. Review work executed by junior engineering staff and provide feedback and relevant modifications to ensure product quality and consistency.

• Selection and generation of bills of materials as required to support electrical requirements for elevators and also in product development and/or project specific work.

• Provide technical support to service and assistance in electrical troubleshooting issues on site.

• Provide assistance in sourcing and procuring parts required as part of the elevator package

• Product Development & Innovation: Design, develop, and optimize electrical control systems for elevators, from initial concept to market-ready solutions.
• Develop controllers, electrical schematics, and wiring diagrams using AutoCAD Electrical.
• Prototype Development & Testing: Build, test, and validate prototypes, using data-driven analysis to improve performance.
• Technology Research & Implementation: Investigate and integrate emerging technologies, ensuring our products remain industry-leading.
• Technical Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve design-related control issues throughout the product development cycle.
• Quality & Compliance: Ensure designs meet functional, safety, and regulatory requirements.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with mechanical engineers, software developers, and QA teams to bring innovative solutions to market.
• Documentation & Knowledge Transfer: Maintain detailed project documentation, including design concepts, calculations, and software requirements.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or C.E.T. in an Electrical discipline.
• 3+ years of experience in programming, control system design, and product development.
• Ability to interpret, develop, and edit electrical schematics as per requirements for projects.
• Strong expertise in elevator controls, industrial automation, or similar machinery.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD for creating schematics, panel layouts, and wiring diagrams.
• Hands-on experience developing custom controllers.
• Strong problem-solving skills with experience in electrical troubleshooting and root-cause analysis.
• Ability to lead R&D projects from concept to production, working in a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment.
• Knowledge of CAN bus communications, microcontrollers, and hybrid/electric drive systems.
• Exposure to hydraulic controls and advanced automation technologies.
• Strong analytical skills for data collection, testing, and performance optimization.
