We're hiring Renovation Carpenters to join our growing team! In this role, you'll lead a crew of carpenters and renovation professionals on a wide range of residential projects throughout the Greater Victoria Region.

Wage: $40.00-$50.00/hr, depending on experience, permanent full-time

Schedule: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM, Monday to Friday

What do you need?

  • Red Seal Carpenter certification is an asset, but not required

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in renovation projects and carpentry

  • Able to communicate professionally with clients

  • Experienced with tracking job costs and managing change orders

  • Strong ability to plan ahead and coordinate subtrades effectively

  • Skilled in assembling furniture, fixtures, and various structural components

  • Basic plumbing knowledge and the ability to perform minor plumbing repairs

  • Competent in caulking techniques for sealing joints and ensuring clean finishes

  • Experience in drywall installation, construction painting, and finishing work

  • Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical drawings accurately

  • Excellent communication skills and a professional, team-oriented attitude

  • Valid First Aid, WHMIS, and Fall Safety certifications (or willingness to obtain)

  • Reliable vehicle to get to and from job sites

  • Employment may be subject to a criminal background check

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute renovation projects, including but not limited to carpentry

  • Perform construction painting to enhance the aesthetic appeal of interiors and exteriors

  • Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for various tasks such as assembling structures and fixtures

  • Interpret and work from schematics to ensure accurate execution of renovation plans

  • Apply caulking to seal gaps and joints for enhanced insulation and a more appealing appearance

  • Collaborate with team members to ensure the timely completion of projects while maintaining quality standards

  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols at all times

  • Other duties may be assigned as needed
