Our manufacturing client in is seeking a hands-on Payroll and Sales Tax Consultant immediately on a 2-3 month contract.
This role combines payroll processing, sales tax remittances and other light accounting duties.
The key responsibilities of the role are as follows:
- Process biweekly payroll for ~95 Canadian employees (primarily salaried, with some contract and commission-based staff)
- Ensure accurate commission payouts
- Oversee and file sales tax remittances (basic-level knowledge required)
- Assist with straightforward cash reporting tasks
- General support in accounting operations typical of a small business setting
TMGCT
- Strong hands-on payroll experience in Canada – ADP WFN (ASSET)
- Comfortable managing commission structures and various employee types
- Familiarity with sales tax remittances
- Adaptable, proactive, and able to manage multiple areas
