POSITION OVERVIEW
We are currently seeking an experienced Document Controller to join our growing team. In this role, you will support engineering and project teams by managing and maintaining accurate and timely project documentation in accordance with both Lauren Services and client-specific procedures. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, highly organized, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, project-driven environment.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Manage engineering and vendor documentation throughout project lifecycles
- Maintain and administer document control systems in compliance with corporate standards
- Log and distribute internally prepared drawings and packages, ensuring completeness and proper sign-off
- Coordinate the receipt, logging, and distribution of vendor drawings and transmittals
- Maintain and organize document repositories, including SharePoint and other internal systems
- Support team members by reproducing and distributing documentation as required
- Provide timely and accurate document status reports
- Support archiving of project documentation in a timely and secure manner
- Collaborate with Engineering, Project Delivery, and Operations to develop and improve workflows and procedures
- Assist with maintaining library and reference materials
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
- Minimum 5 years of experience in document control, preferably in the midstream energy or EPCM sector
- Strong understanding of engineering and vendor document control processes
- Experience with digital records management is considered an asset
- Proficient with Bluebeam Studio, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, and Windows file management
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational abilities and exceptional attention to detail
- Capable of managing multiple tasks and deadlines with minimal supervision
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Completion of secondary school with focus in Business Administration or equivalent education/experience preferred
