About the Opportunity

SSI is seeking a full-time Marketing Operations Specialistto join our Marketing team with the SSI Corporate location in Victoria, BC. This role is key to ensuring our marketing outcomes support our goals. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring our go-to-market strategy is executed smoothly, leading marketing automation and reporting efforts, and connecting data across the organization. Expect a blend of hands-on platform work, process design, and performance analysis.

We value flexibility and the successful candidate will have the option to work in office, hybrid or fully remotely. However, if the option is to work remotely, you will need an 8-hour workday that overlaps MonFri, 9 AM2 PM Pacific Time to attend stand-ups and sprint reviews with the core marketing team.

As theMarketing Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Own efforts to increase traceability and attribution for all leads.
  • Utilize data and analytics to drive and improve campaign performance by providing insights into campaign optimization, including data acquisition, list segmentation, data cleanliness and integrity within CRM and other databases.
  • Provide actionable insights that support our goals through multi-source dashboards in Power BI. Including tracking marketing efficiency metrics, attribution, and activation.
  • Owning end-to-end campaign orchestration; including A/B testing, audience pulls, QA, launch, and troubleshooting.
  • Build account journeys, trigger signal-based plays in Dynamics, and measure account engagement and lead/pipeline creation.
  • Own MarTech stack, including using API integrations, webhooks, and low-code tools to connect our MAP, CRM (Microsoft Dynamics), Power BI, and other tools.
  • Document SOPs, SLAs, and playbooks, run campaign retrospectives, and support teammates on marketing operations best practices.
  • Own multi-source dashboards in Power BI. Including tracking marketing efficiency metrics, attribution, and activation.
  • Work closely with the Marketing team to enhance and optimize campaign playbooks across all channels, process automation, and documentation.
  • Work with other departments and experts to create connection/workflows using various platforms.
  • Working with the Finance team, use purchase order system to initiate and record purchases completed by the Marketing department.
  • Support implementation and maintenance of SEO/SEM strategies to improve search engine rankings and drive traffic to the website.

Education and Experience Requirements:

Basic requirements:

  • Degree(s) in Marketing, Business Analytics, Information Systems, or related fields or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years in Marketing Ops, RevOps, or Demand Gen with a track record of improving performance through data and automation.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to provide operational oversight and project management of multiple programs simultaneously.
  • Fluency in at least one major MAP (HubSpot, Marketo, Pardot, Dynamics) and CRM (Salesforce, HubSpot, Dynamics).
  • Proficient in setting up conversion tracking through scripts or tools such as Google Tag Manager.
  • Analytical, detail-oriented, and self-directed. Comfortable owning KPIs such as cost per opportunity, database health, and attribution accuracy.
  • Proficient in data analysis tools such as Google Analytics, PowerBI, Tableau, etc.
  • Power-user skills in Excel (pivot tables, lookups, regex) and Power BI (data modeling & DAX).
  • Experience implementing no/low-code integrations and automations (Zapier, Power Automate, or similar).
  • Fluency in English both written and verbal

Preferred requirements:

  • Experience working in an ABM B2B SaaS environment.
  • Experience working with SEO tools (SEMrush).
  • Experience marketing for the marine, engineering, or other technical industry.
  • Working knowledge of SQL or Python for deeper data pulls/ETL or working with APIs.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively and outside of the box.
