Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Site Superintendent to manage all on-site activities for our Summit High-Density (HD) project in Calgary. This is a leadership role ideal for someone who thrives in multi-tasking environments, is passionate about safety and quality, and can confidently lead teams to successful project completion while working alongside trade partners, internal teams, and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and execute detailed plans and schedules using MS Project.
- Manage on-site trades, sub-contractors, and procurement of materials and equipment to maintain consistent progress.
- Promote and lead a safety-first culture on site in alignment with Partners Development Groups Health & Safety Program.
- Maintain a safe and clean site providing consideration for the public, neighbors, and the professional image of the company.
- Ensure construction work meets all quality standards, specifications, and codes.
- Conduct regular inspections and coordinate testing of construction materials.
- Maintain quality control documentation, including inspection logs and deficiency reports.
- Coordinate and oversee regulatory inspections satisfying occupancy requirements.
- Ensure timely coordination of change orders, purchase orders, and project documentation to support efficient site operations.
- Establish quantities, prepare orders, and track delivery for self-performed scopes including carpentry and concrete work.
- Lead weekly site and internal progress meetings to review project status and performance.
- Build strong, effective working relationships with internal and external project teams.
- Demonstrate leadership, problem-solving abilities, and motivate site teams to achieve project goals.
- Perform hands-on tasks as required to maintain schedule and quality commitments.

Qualifications
- Minimum 7-10 years of experience in a supervisory role, with proven success in multi-family, high-density, or residential construction.
- Experience in concrete and wood framed construction, as well as interior and exterior construction assemblies.
- Proven ability to read and interpret construction documents.
- Knowledge of local and provincial building regulations/codes, ordinances, and legislation including OH&S.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft.
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Safety certifications such as CSTS, First Aid, and WHMIS
- Valid Class 5 drivers license and reliable transportation.
Working Conditions
This is a full-time, permanent position based on site at the Summit HD project in Calgary. Standard work hours are Monday to Friday, with weekend work as required to meet project demands. The role requires on-site presence in various weather conditions and the ability to lead both office and field-based tasks.
