HireNow Staffing is seeking a detail-driven Senior Cost Accountant for a full-time opportunity based in Vancouver. If you're passionate about inventory accuracy, cost control, and partnering with cross-functional teams to improve financial processes, this could be your next move.The Opportunity:As the Senior Cost Accountant, you'll play a key role in how inventory is evaluated and reported. Working closely with operations, logistics, and finance leadership, you'll help establish sound cost structures, support ERP development, and provide data-driven insights that influence planning and profitability.What You'll Be Doing:
- Manage and review month-end and year-end inventory cost evaluations
- Ensure materials and supplies are accurately tracked and valued
- Collaborate with production, shipping, and receiving to align real-time costs
- Lead inventory cycle counts and support audits with accurate documentation
- Help implement and fine-tune inventory modules within the ERP system
- Prepare cost analyses and contribute to financial reporting processes
- At least 2 years of experience in a cost accounting role (preferably in manufacturing or processing environments)
- CPA, CMA, CGA designation, or active enrollment in a CPA track
- Strong Excel skills with comfort handling large datasets and pivot tables
- Familiarity with ERP systems and inventory workflows
- Clear communicator who can work across departments and explain financial data to non-finance teams
- Problem-solver with a hands-on attitude and sharp attention to detail
- Background in food production, seafood processing, or similar industries
- Experience supporting ERP system implementations or upgrades
- A team-oriented mindset with an eagerness to support operations
