What Were Looking For:
We are seeking a motivated, energetic, and reliable leader who is passionate about water safety, loves working with children, and is eager to take on supervisory and coaching responsibilities within our program.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach swim lessons to children and adults following British Swim Schools proven curriculum
- Supervise, mentor, and coach swim instructors to ensure quality, safety, and consistency in every class
- Provide ongoing feedback, guidance, and leadership to the instructional team
- Communicate effectively with parents, students, and staff to create an exceptional customer experience
- Oversee daily operations, including deck management, class scheduling, and customer service
- Foster a fun, inclusive, and safe learning environment for all participants and staff
- Experience working with children (e.g., daycare, camps, sports coaching, teaching)
- Strong swimming ability, including all four strokes, turns, and treading water
- Previous supervisory, team lead, or leadership experience (preferred)
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Ability to teach swimmers of all ages and abilities, including adults and special-ability swimmers
- Flexibility to work at multiple locations as needed
- High school diploma or equivalent
- National Lifeguard Certification or willingness to obtain it (preferred)
- Year-round availability (this is not a seasonal role)
- Professionalism, reliability, and a positive, team-oriented attitude
- Additional aquatic certifications (Instructor, Lifesaving Society, etc.)
- Ability to speak a second language
- Experience in sales, customer service, or administration
- Guaranteed 1530 hours per week
