About the Role:

We are actively seeking an intermediate Structural Technologist at our growing location in Calgary, AB.

What will you be doing?

• Collect client and project information and prepare structural drawings using Revit in accordance with best practice design and relevant codes and standards and guidelines from the structural engineer.
• Work with structural engineers to assist in coordination of drawings sets with client expectations including architectural coordination and industry standard practices
• Use Revit to prepare 3D Building Information (BIM) models and export to 2D drawing sets.
• Use AutoCAD to prepare 2D drawing sets for construction level documents in various materials (wood, steel, concrete, precast products, etc.).
• Coordinate structural drawings with Architecture, Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, and other project consultants under the direction of the project Engineer.
• Visit project site to collect required information.
• Visit Construction site to complete construction reviews.
• Performs other duties as assigned by project engineers.
  

What you bring?

• A diploma in structural drafting with a minimum of 5-10 years experience preferably in a consulting environment.
• Experience in modeling multi-family residential buildings concrete, steel, wood, and masonry.
• Proficient in Revit is essential, Microsoft Office and AutoCAD are assets
• Basic design experience in wood, steel and/or concrete is considered an asset
• Fluent in English
