Belvika is currently seeking a Shift Coordinator to assist the production team. This position will be based at the Goreway facility located at 6690 Goreway, Mississauga and must be flexible to work on all shifts and other locations. Current shifts available: Afternoon.
The successful candidate will:
- Coordinate and oversee the day-to-day jobs running at the facility and provide feedback to the supervisor.
- Inspect and accurately record by scanning into Nulogy all incoming packaging and bulk to the line, making sure that all lot codes applicable to the materials are also recorded.
- Keep the correct amount of bulk and packaging material on the production floor to ensure that the line does not stop waiting for materials.
- Make sure that quality checks are carried out in accordance with the product specification sheets and BT&PL QA standards.
- Ensure that all bulk and/or packaging material brought to the line are recorded on the traceability report worksheet.
- Inspect and record all outgoing finished product from the line into Nulogy, making sure that date codes and quantities are correct.
- Print a pallet tag for every completed pallet of Finished Product (only once this tag is created can the material handler/forklift driver move the completed product to the staging area).
- Record all QA and lot tracking information onto the correct forms provided.
- Supervise Line Staff, making sure that there is sufficient labor to meet production requirements.
- Create daily shipments in Nulogy for outbound loads.
- Assist with production on the line.
- Ensure that the area is always clean and safe.
- Ensure that SSOP are being followed by the production team during breaks, changeovers, and at the end of the shift.
- Verify line cleanliness and sign off on sanitation records.
- At shift change or end of a production run, ensure:
- All lot traceability & QA information is communicated to the next leads to confirm correct production date codes and correct product count remaining for production.
- Report any incidents or concerns to the Shift Supervisor.
- Stop the job in Nulogy.
Education/Work experience requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent (College or business degree in Business or Related Courses an asset).
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a production environment (food processing or food packaging environment preferred).
- Experience using Nulogy, SAP, or other ERP & MRP system is an asset.
