The Role

Our recruitment team is working with a global manufacturing leader in its field, with multiple locations in North America, and one of Fortune 500 firms. Their facility in Surrey is currently looking for temporary CNC Machinists (no programming needed and NO Red Seal required) to cover one of the following shifts:

• Morning: 7:00 AM to 3:15 PM Monday to Friday OR
• Afternoon: 2:00 PM to 12:00 AM (4, 10-hour shifts) Monday to Thursday
• Overtime available for both schedules.

Please note this job is temporary until the end of September 2025, with the opportunity for a permanent extension depending on performance.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machines with precision to meet tight tolerances.
• Follow the setup instructions, tooling diagrams, and operation sequences.
• Load correct programs and make equipment or program adjustments as needed.
• Perform in-process quality checks using precision measuring tools.
• Accurately enter data into ERP systems.
• Read and interpret technical blueprints.
• Load/unload parts and monitor machine operations for accuracy.
• Assist with equipment maintenance and cross-train others when needed.
• Uphold ISO and environmental standards by identifying and resolving quality issues, preventing problems, and supporting continuous improvement.

Requirements

• 1+ year of experience in a CNC Machining role
• Steel and aluminum exposure
• Previous computing system experience
• Ability to interpret diagrams
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and teamwork!
• Ability to lift 50lbs regularly and stand for long periods of time
• Strong measuring skills

Compensation

• $28 to $33 an hour
