Purpose of Position

The Skills for Trades Program Manager plays a key leadership role in the planning, coordination, and execution of the Skills for Trades program. This position is responsible for all aspects of development and delivery in supporting learners as they explore and pursue careers in the skilled trades. The Skills for Trades Program Manager will work collaboratively in program development, individualized program design, and managing learner success.

Principal Roles and Responsibilities

  • Support the design, implementation, and evaluation of the Skills for Trades program, aligning with organizational goals and community needs
  • Stay informed on current best practices in skilled trades support, adult learning, andneuroaffirming approaches
  • Conduct case management for a caseload of learners, supporting them from start to end
  • Coordinate and lead intake and assessment processes
  • Create individualized learning profiles and support plans
  • Track progress andmake adjustments to ensure learner success
  • Monitor program delivery to ensure it is inclusive, accessible, and responsive to learner needs
  • Build andmaintain relationships with external partners
  • Participate in outreach and collaborative initiatives
  • Develop and implement staff training procedures
  • Contribute to reporting, evaluation, and funding proposals as needed

Requirements

  • 3+ years of relevant professional experience in program management
  • 3+ years of relevant professional experience in an educational setting
  • Undergraduate degree or other education in a relevant discipline
    Experience workingwith neurodivergent or other equity-deserving populations
  • Experienceadministering assessments (B-level certification is an asset)
  • Experienceinterpreting assessments to develop and deliver educational materials
  • Robust oral and written communication skills with a focus on plain language communication (Englishrequired, French not required, other language proficiencies are an asset)
  • All applicants must be legally allowed to work in Canada
  • Criminal record check with the vulnerable sector (to be provided as a condition of employment if selected)

Start date: As soon as possible.

Reports to: This position reports to the Senior Manager, Youth and Adult Programs

Hours of work: 37.5 hours per week plus a 30-minute unpaid break. Split evenly over Mondays to Fridays each week. Schedule could be 8:30 4:30 or 9:00 5:00

Remuneration and Benefits: 56,000 65,000 per annum

Location: East Vancouver (3292 E Broadway) - travel to our North Vancouver location (1277 Lynn Valley Road) as required
Job Type: Full-time, permanent, 37.5 hours per week split evenly over Monday to Friday.
