You will manage and grow a defined territory and develop new clients and market opportunities to increase sales revenue and profitability.
Additionally:
- Develop a base portfolio of new customers
- Increase sales volume by identifying new opportunities and introducing new products with established customers
- Developing and executing a call plan, performing business reviews, maintaining a full sales pipeline, price negotiation, quarterly customer reviews, new product introduction and execution of regional and national programs
- Support and execution of direct marketing and operational initiatives
- Support selected vendor programs, make calls with vendors, follow corporate direction on vendor contact and cost negotiation, support marketing initiatives and support online ordering
- Responsible for maintaining customer sales activity in Salesforce.com or other tools as mandated by the organization
- To consistently achieve established sales, margin and customer profitability targets
- A result-oriented individual with a competitive nature and a desire to succeed
- An ability to work collaboratively with internal and external customers, showing flexibility in meeting their individual needs
- Above average verbal, written and presentation skills
- Strong organizational and time-planning skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
- Experience with SalesForce (or other CRM tools) is an asset
- Post-secondary education in sales/marketing with a minimum of 3 years of business-to-business selling experience required
- Industry experience with a distribution sales model is an asset
- A vehicle and a valid driver's license are required
