Position: Industrial Machinery Maintenance Mechanic (Red Seal Millwright)

Education Required:

• Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Experience Required:

• 3 years to less than 5 years in industrial maintenance or machinery installation

Key Responsibilities:

• Detect and troubleshoot machinery malfunctions and irregularities

• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings

• Construct foundations and install machinery and equipment

• Repair or replace defective parts and components

• Perform routine and preventative maintenance on machinery

• Fabricate required parts using lathes, grinders, and other machining tools

• Operate and program programmable logic controllers (PLCs)

• Maintain accurate service and repair records

Equipment & Machinery Experience:

• Hydraulic and pneumatic systems

• Power transmission systems

• Lathes, tool grinders, and machining tools
