Wire Assembler – Job Description
Shift: 6:45am to 3:15pm, Monday to Friday
Location: Kennedy and Courtneypark Drive E, Mississauga
Payrate: $17.90/hour
Start: As soon as possible / ASAP
Primary Roles & Responsibilities:
Interpret and work from complex electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documentation with minimal supervision
Assemble, wire, and test electrical components, subassemblies, and full systems with a high level of accuracy
Troubleshoot and resolve electrical and mechanical assembly issues independently
Conduct quality checks and support continuous improvement initiatives
Provide guidance, mentoring, and on-the-job training to junior assemblers
Ensure all work adheres to safety, quality, and production standards
Collaborate with engineering and production teams to review and improve build processes
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
Support inventory tracking and control of assembly-related materials
Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or team lead
Qualifications:
Proven ability to interpret and execute work from advanced electrical and mechanical schematics
3+ years of experience in electrical or electromechanical assembly in a manufacturing environment
Proficient with a variety of hand, power, and pneumatic tools
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication in English
Competent computer skills (e.g., ERP systems, MS Office, digital work instructions)
Ability to work independently and take initiative in a fast-paced production setting
Must be able to lift up to 30 lb and work in a physically active environment
