ATS Traffic has an exciting opportunity for a Power BI Analyst Intern to join our business! Working closely with the Technology Team, this role is an excellent introduction to the IT field whereby you will gain valuable, real-word experience. Duties will include:

Dashboard Development

• Design and build visually compelling Power BI dashboards.
• Ensure dashboards are user-friendly and meet stakeholder requirements.
• Apply best practices in layout, color schemes, and interactivity.

Data Preparation & Modeling

• Use Power Query to clean and transform data from various sources (Excel, SQL, APIs).
• Create and manage data models using relationships and calculated columns/measures in DAX.
• Optimize data models for performance and scalability.

Data Analysis & Insights

• Analyze trends, patterns, and anomalies in data
• Translate data into actionable insights and recommendations.
• Support ad-hoc analysis requests from business units.

Collaboration & Communication

• Work closely with business analysts, data engineers, and stakeholders to gather requirements.
• Present findings and dashboards to non-technical audiences.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to brainstorming sessions.

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain clear documentation of data sources, logic, and report usage.
• Create user guides or training materials for dashboards.
• Track and report on project progress and outcomes.

• Applicants must be either recently graduated or currently enrolled in a post secondary education program with a specialization in Information Technology, Data Science, Business Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field.

• A creative, fresh perspective and positive “can do” attitude!
• Strong organizational skills, ability to manage multiple priorities at once.
• Intermediate skill level in MS Office Suite: Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
• Familiarity with Power BI, Excel, and SQL.
• Basic understanding of DAX and Power Query.
• Exposure to data modeling concepts.
• Ability to interpret data and identify trends. Comfortable working with large datasets and drawing conclusions.
• Able to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences. Strong written and verbal communication.
• Ability to learn new software.
