Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate cost estimates for tender submissions (materials, labour, equipment).

• Review specifications and drawings to develop competitive bids.

• Manage the estimating process and ensure compliance and consistency.

• Source and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotes.

• Identify cost-saving opportunities to enhance competitiveness.

• Communicate with clients for clarifications and updates.

• Participate in pre- and post-project meetings and debriefs.

• Support installation teams and monitor project cost control.

• Coach and lead a team of electricians, technicians, and apprentices.

• Forecast project trends and report progress to the General Manager.

• Process change orders and billing documentation.

• Collaborate with site teams to develop and maintain project schedules.

Qualifications

• Red Seal Certification or FSR Certificate in Electrical

• Diploma in Project or Construction Management (an asset)

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Project Manager/Estimator in electrical projects

• Strong knowledge of construction estimating and industry practices

• Experience with ACCUBID (an asset)

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)

• Effective communicator and problem-solver

• Excellent attention to detail and time management

• Experience in scheduling, cost control, and contract management
