A respected and dynamic organization is looking for a Controller to lead its finance function. This senior-level position is ideal for a CPA with strong leadership experience and a proven track record in full-cycle accounting, financial reporting, and operational improvement. You'll play a key role in overseeing the accuracy of financial data, supporting strategic planning, and leading both the team and systems through periods of change and growth.
About the Role Reporting into senior leadership, this position is responsible for the overall financial operations of the organization, with a focus on financial integrity, controls, reporting, and team development. You'll have a seat at the table for major decisions while guiding the day-to-day finance function.
What You'll Do
  • Oversee the complete accounting cycle, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements
  • Manage relationships with external auditors and coordinate internal control reviews
  • Lead the budgeting and forecasting process, providing strategic analysis to support decision-making
  • Conduct monthly and quarterly variance analysis and prepare reporting packages for management
  • Support credit and collections functions, including oversight of receivables and credit insurance programs
  • Manage accounts payable, including payment processing, reconciliations, and vendor relationships
  • Take an active role in ERP implementation efforts, including testing, training, and systems documentation
  • Recommend and implement process improvements across finance functions
  • Build and lead a high-performing finance team in a collaborative, results-oriented environment
  • Model a strong work ethic and commitment to continuous improvement

What You Bring
  • CPA designation
  • 6+ years of progressive experience in accounting and finance roles
  • Strong technical knowledge of full-cycle accounting and audit processes
  • Demonstrated leadership experience, including managing a team or full finance function
  • Experience with system implementations or significant process improvement projects
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a hands-on, proactive leadership style
  • Ability to balance day-to-day responsibilities with long-term strategy and growth initiatives
