About the Role Reporting into senior leadership, this position is responsible for the overall financial operations of the organization, with a focus on financial integrity, controls, reporting, and team development. You'll have a seat at the table for major decisions while guiding the day-to-day finance function.
What You'll Do
- Oversee the complete accounting cycle, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements
- Manage relationships with external auditors and coordinate internal control reviews
- Lead the budgeting and forecasting process, providing strategic analysis to support decision-making
- Conduct monthly and quarterly variance analysis and prepare reporting packages for management
- Support credit and collections functions, including oversight of receivables and credit insurance programs
- Manage accounts payable, including payment processing, reconciliations, and vendor relationships
- Take an active role in ERP implementation efforts, including testing, training, and systems documentation
- Recommend and implement process improvements across finance functions
- Build and lead a high-performing finance team in a collaborative, results-oriented environment
- Model a strong work ethic and commitment to continuous improvement
What You Bring
- CPA designation
- 6+ years of progressive experience in accounting and finance roles
- Strong technical knowledge of full-cycle accounting and audit processes
- Demonstrated leadership experience, including managing a team or full finance function
- Experience with system implementations or significant process improvement projects
- Strong interpersonal skills and a hands-on, proactive leadership style
- Ability to balance day-to-day responsibilities with long-term strategy and growth initiatives
