Position Summary:
The Field Service Lead – Install is responsible for leading and coordinating installation projects at customer sites. This position oversees crews during the installation of mechanical, electrical, HVAC, or related systems, ensuring work is completed safely, on time, and in compliance with all technical and quality standards. The role also serves as the primary on-site contact for both internal teams and customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and support field installation crews on-site, ensuring proper execution of installation plans.
- Coordinate project timelines, material deliveries, equipment setup, and subcontractor activities.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and installation specifications.
- Conduct quality checks and inspections to ensure compliance with project standards and codes.
- Serve as the on-site liaison between the customer, project management, and internal teams.
- Troubleshoot field issues and escalate critical items as necessary.
- Maintain daily reports, site logs, and progress documentation.
- Enforce safety policies and procedures and lead by example in maintaining a safe work environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school preferred.
- 5+ years of field installation experience in mechanical, HVAC, or electrical systems.
- Prior leadership experience on job sites required.
- Strong understanding of installation practices, tools, and safety standards.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to read blueprints and understand construction documentation.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to job sites.
- Travel Expectation: Approximately 30%–50%
