Position Summary
The Warehouse Lead is responsible for supporting the general operating activities of the warehouse; ensuring and promotingefficient execution of all functional activities to meet customerdemand. This role is responsible for assisting the manager indelegating workflow, promoting cooperative team relationships,establishing daily priorities, gathering metrics, generating reports,and overseeing work. This will include understanding andinvestigating inventory inaccuracies, as well as performinggeneral warehouse functions.
Responsibilities
Assist in workflow, including allocating warehouse associates,and planning work capacities, while actively looking for
individual and team improvements.
Support the Management team in all Health and Safety,housekeeping, and process improvement initiatives.
Support departmental objectives in line with company goals.
Performs material handling and warehousing functionsrequired in receiving, processing, storing, moving, packing,
and shipping of parts, materials equipment, and supplies.
Conduct various inventory analyses for racked and non-racked inventory, to maintain FIFO, auditing functionality, etc.
Ensure cycle counting is in alignment with processes andprocedures.
Ensure pick/pack activity is carried efficiently, using the ERPprocess accordingly, and is readily prepared (on time) for
shipping activities.
Complete Root Cause & Corrective Actions on functionalwarehouse activities as inefficiencies/inaccuracies or similar
arise.
Gathering inventory & efficiency metrics.
Other Duties as required.
Qualifications
Previous experience in a warehouse environment i.e. shipping, receiving, picking, packing, sorting, etc.
Experience in working within a companys cycle count process andprocedures.
Experience in supporting projectswith little oversight by management.
Demonstrated leadership andorganization skills.
Experience in supporting andimplementing inventory strategiesin line with the overall companyinitiative of reducing inventorypreferred.
Experience with Logistics, Bills ofMaterial, and Routings within theERP system.
