THE ROLE:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to oversee the execution of 10 separate payroll cycles across multiple entities. This individual will also play a pivotal role in implementing a new global payroll system, helping to harmonize payroll processes and drive standardization across regions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Accurately process and reconcile payroll for 10 separate business units on varying schedules
  • Ensure compliance with local tax laws, statutory reporting requirements, and internal controls
  • Partner with HR, Finance, and external vendors to streamline payroll workflows
  • Play a lead role in the global payroll system implementationparticipating in planning, testing, migration, and go-live phases
  • Troubleshoot and resolve payroll discrepancies and system-related issues
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation on payroll procedures, controls, and configurations
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy

EXPERIENCE:

  • Proven experience managing multiple payrolls in a complex, multi-country environment
  • Strong knowledge of payroll legislation, tax, and compliance requirements (global exposure is a plus)
  • Hands-on experience with payroll software and ERP systems (e.g., Workday, SAP, ADP, etc.)
  • Demonstrated involvement in HRIS or payroll system implementation projects
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organisational skills, and analytical thinking
  • High level of confidentiality and professional integrity
  • Proactive communicator with the ability to collaborate effectively across global teams


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Payroll certification (e.g., CIPP, CPP)
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, global organisation
  • Familiarity with UK, Canadian, and Australian payroll practices and regulatory frameworks
  • Familiarity with change management principles
