Production Worker

• North York Area
• Day shift (8:30-5)
• $17.20

The Company

The client is operating a commercial bakery specializing in vegan, nut free and non-GMO baked goods.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Follow GMP rules and perform proper sanitation practices prior to each product production run.
• Follow worker safety and food safety policies.
• Work along production lines in a fast-paced environment.
• Isolate any product, which will not meet the established quality standards or may cause a food safety hazard if eaten. Notify supervisor or quality assurance department of any such problem.
• Check the depositing weight of product at set intervals to ensure they are within range.
• Check products as they come off the line to ensure they meet quality specifications.
• Ensure products are counted, placed on baking trays, and tagged accurately.
• Log all depositing activities on Depositing Record.
• Work efficiently to meet daily schedules and targets.
• Other duties as assigned.

Skills and Abilities

• One year experience in a food manufacturing facility is an asset.
• Knowledge of HACCP, GMPs, Allergen Control Program is an asset.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 25lbs.
• Able to perform repetitive tasks requiring attention to detail
• Able to maintain good working relationships with co-workers and supervisor

• Noisy and hot environment
• Safety equipment required: steel toed safety shoes, lab coats, hair nets, gloves, plastic sleeves.
