We are seeking interested parites for Urinalysis Collection Services to join our team! You will be responsible for collecting urine samples for released offenders.
Responsibilities:
- Collect and organize urine samples from patients (same gender only)
- Accurately label, store and package samples to prevent contamination or tampering
- Properly record information, including time of collection, collector ID, and other required documentation
- Clearly and respectfully explain the collection process to patients
- Maintain a calm demeanor, handling potentially sensitive situations with discretion and empathy
- Ensure integrity of collection by placing required seals on the container, obtain signatures and prepare container for shipment
- Ship samples to the laboratory
- Complete log sheets monthly
- Perform collections during regular working hours, Monday-Friday 0700-1800. Occasional work on weekends or after hours may be needed
Qualifications:
- At least 1 year(s) previous experience as a personal support service person with clients 1-on-1 and/or
- At least 1 year(s) previous experience conducting urine sample collection within a correctional treatment environment
- Valid drivers license with access to a personal vehicle
- Live in the greater Kingston area, and able to travel
