Position SummaryKey Responsibilities
· Social Media Strategy & Management
- Develop and implement a cohesive social media strategy to expand brand awareness and engagement across LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok.
- Plan and maintain a content calendar with timely, relevant posts.
- Engage with followers, respond to comments/messages, and monitor analytics to guide improvements.
· Content Creation & Brand Messaging
- Create compelling digital content tailored to the nursing and healthcare audience, including text, graphics, and short-form video.
- Ensure all messaging aligns with NANDA-I's mission, values, and brand voice.
- Stay current on social media trends and healthcare news to inform content.
· Publication Marketing & Content Support
- Promote the NANDA International textbook, *NANDA International Nursing Diagnoses: Definitions and Classification*, through digital channels and creative campaigns.
- Collaborate with textbook editors to support the development of interactive and engaging content related to the publication (e.g., short videos, infographics, Q&A sessions, highlights).
· Blog & Newsletter Development
- Write and/or edit informative, engaging blog posts highlighting nursing diagnosis, research, member activities, events, and organizational news.
- Coordinate and distribute regular newsletters to members and partners.
· Collaboration & Strategic Growth
- Collaborate with leadership and committees to amplify initiatives, events (e.g., biennial conferences), and new publications.
- Identify new digital opportunities to elevate NANDA-I's presence among students, educators, clinicians, and international audiences.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, nursing, health science, or a related field.
- Bilingual Spanish highly preferred
Demonstrated experience managing professional social media accounts and creating health-related content.
- Strong writing, editing, and visual storytelling skills.
- Understanding of nursing practice, education, and professional issues.
- Proficiency with social media management tools (e.g., Canva, Meta Business Suite, Buffer, etc.).
- Experience with email platforms (e.g., Mailchimp, Constant Contact) and blogging platforms (e.g., WordPress) preferred.
- Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and communicate proactively in a virtual team environment.
