Job Title: Maintenance Administrator
Reporting directly to the Superintendent, Mobile Maintenance, or their designate, the Maintenance Administrator will support the maintenance department by ensuring efficient administrative processes, coordinating maintenance logistics, and supporting maintenance teams both remotely and on site. The role requires strong organizational skills and the ability to maintain high standards of operational excellence in a remote mining environment.
Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
Key Responsibilities
Procurement & Inventory Support
- Order parts and supplies required for both mobile equipment and fixed plant maintenance jobs.
- Coordinate with vendors, logistics teams, and site personnel to ensure timely delivery of materials.
System Implementation
- Assist with the implementation and ongoing use of the Pronto maintenance module.
- Support data migration, user training, and troubleshooting related to the system.
Administrative Support
- Provide day-to-day administrative assistance to the Maintenance Coordinators.
- Complete data entry tasks related to job tracking, work orders, and maintenance records.
- Maintain accurate documentation, including service logs, inspection reports, and inventory records.
Process Improvement
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of maintenance processes and administrative systems.
- Identify inefficiencies and propose practical solutions to enhance workflow and data accuracy.
Transition to Site-Based Work
- Prepare for the transition to an on-site role by developing a clear understanding of camp procedures and operations.
- Adapt responsibilities as needed to align with the operational demands of the Eskay Creek Mine.
Other Duties
- All other duties as reasonably assigned by the Employer.
The Ideal Candidate
Education / Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Maintenance Planning, or a related field is preferred.
- A combination of relevant education and practical experience will be considered.
- Training or certification in maintenance systems (e.g. CMMS such as Pronto) is an asset.
- Valid Class 5 driver's license is required.
Experience/Skills:
- 2+ years of experience in an administrative support role, ideally within a mining, industrial, or maintenance environment.
- Familiarity with maintenance operations, parts ordering, and job tracking processes.
- Experience working with computerized maintenance management systems (e.g. Pronto, SAP, or similar platforms) is strongly preferred.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, both remotely and on site.
Work Location & Conditions
Please note: This position will initially be based remotely and follow a Monday to Friday schedule. However, it is expected to transition to a site-based role at the Eskay Creek Mine in 2026 which involves working at a remote mine site on a 15 days on / 13 days off rotation.
The Eskay Creek Revitalization Project is located within the Coast Mountains of Northwestern British Columbia and Tahltan Territory. Ground transportation will be provided from local communities to the Eskay Creek site facilities. For applicants located elsewhere in Western Canada, flight transportation from major urban centres will be provided to the Terrace or Smithers airports, with shuttle service to the Eskay Creek camp. Travel time and expenses are subject to Skeena's Travel Policy.
There will be exposure to extreme temperatures in all seasons including working outdoors in snow, mud, ice, and water conditions, walking to and from different locations on uneven ground, prolonged periods of standing and physically handling/lifting/moving heavy objects.

Compensation
The expected hourly range for this position is CA$30/h - CA$38/hour, in line with the competitive job market for such roles carried out in British Columbia. Salary ranges are guidelines and any job offer received by a candidate will be determined on a number of factors such as relevant education, training, and/or experience.
