We are currently seeking an enthusiastic individual with experience in public accounting to join our team in a Senior Accountant position. The successful candidate should have at least three years' experience in public accounting.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare financial statements at the compilation, review and audit engagement levels in all sectors including corporate and not-for-profit sector
- Prepare personal, corporate, partnership, charity, social housing and other compliance returns
- Develop positive working relationships with clients and staff
- Work effectively in a team environment or independently
- Supervise and train staff accountants
- Participate in pre and post engagement discussions
- Work within time budgets, monitor progress to budget and meet deadlines
- Report progress of engagements to Managers and Partners on an ongoing basis
- Examine and analyze accounting and financial records to ensure accuracy and compliance with established accounting standards and procedures
- Other duties as assigned
- Minimum 3 years of experience in public practice
- CPA designation preferred but not required
- Expansive knowledge of GAAP
- Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Demonstrated ability to communicate complex concepts in a clear and professional manner
- Good working knowledge of CaseWare and CCH iFirm. Familiarity with various bookkeeping software including QuickBooks, QuickBooks Online, Sage etc.
