Position Summary
Bow Valley College is seeking an organized, service-oriented, and detail-driven Enrolment Services Representative to join our Office of the Registrar. In this vital role, you will support both new and continuing students from the application stage through to registration across assigned departments. Working as part of a collaborative team, you will play a key role in ensuring that enrollment services align with college goals and meet program enrollment targets.
You will manage student applications and registrations by processing applications, enrolling students in first-term courses, managing waitlists, and communicating status updates via email, phone, and letters. This role includes referring students to appropriate support services, maintaining accurate student records, and working closely with student funding advisors and departmental contacts to ensure a smooth and supportive registration experience.
As part of the enrolment management process, you will handle course transfers, withdrawals, and rollovers to subsequent terms, while also providing general advising to ongoing students in support of retention efforts. You will troubleshoot enrollment issues and coordinate with other teams to support course placements, capacities, and schedule changes.
A component of the position involves supporting admissions and placement testing, including proctoring in-person and online exams, and preparing test environments. You will also contribute to delivering exceptional front-line service at the Registrars Office front counter and call centre by answering inquiries, assisting students, and ensuring the accuracy of all application and enrollment data.
To succeed in this role, you will have at least a post-secondary diploma and two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Preferred qualifications include outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, strong organizational abilities, and the capacity to handle high volumes of work with accuracy and efficiency. Experience in secondary or post-secondary education environments, particularly with English language learners or Alberta high school curricula, is considered an asset.
