Duties

• Perform detailed final cleaning, assembly repairs and shipping prep of units
• Perform assembly and sealing alterations or corrections to unit
• Direct, manage and inspect work completed by finishing team members
• Post final inspection prepare unit for shipping which could include protective wrapping, shrink wrapping, use of open flame heat gun
• Collaborate with production, testing and shipping departments to schedule timely completion of units
• Perform quality checks and sign off on all finished units prior to ship
• Fabricate and assemble metal products
• Measuring, cutting, grinding, all necessary components together, perform a quality check, and update supervisor on progress.
• Use of hand and power tools.
• Following blueprint diagrams to build HVAC units.
• Components range from small parts to large parts for assembling. Components range from 5lbs to 50lbs depending on the job.
• Assembly of HVAC equipment.

• Build crates
• Follow codes, regulations and accepted safety practices
• Meet all company, governmental, and equipment related safety requirements
• General Maintenance
• And other duties as assigned by Management

To be successful in this trade must have:

• Ability to focus on fine details in assessing cleanliness and quality of workmanship
• Fine motor skills to perform detailed cleaning and assembly tasks
• experience in manufacturing an asset
• Mechanically inclined
• the ability to work with little supervision
• the skill to diagnose problems
• the ability to use proper lifting techniques for items weighing up to -and more than- 25 kilogram
• the ability to deal courteously with employees
• Must own tools including drill and grinder
• First Aid Ticket, Forklift and Crane Certificate will be an asset
