The Role
We're hiring a Candidate Experience & Sourcing Specialist to support our recruiters by identifying strong candidates, managing outreach, and making sure people feel cared for throughout the hiring process. You'll spend most of your time sourcing candidates, writing outreach, setting up calls, and keeping things organized and moving.
As you grow into the role, you'll take on more candidate screening and ownership of parts of the search process. This is a great opportunity for someone who communicates well, follows through quickly, and naturally creates a smooth, welcoming experience for others.
What You'll Do
Use LinkedIn and other tools to identify strong candidates for open searches
Write clear, personalized outreach messages and follow up promptly
Coordinate and schedule candidate calls with the internal recruiting team
Conduct candidate screens and write clear summaries (as you grow into the role)
Track progress and communication in our ATS and shared systems
Stay organized, responsive, and proactive across multiple searches
Help ensure that candidates have a respectful, thoughtful experience from start to finish
Who You Are
You have 1–2 years of experience in recruiting, sourcing, or a related field
You're based in Canada and authorized to work as an independent contractor
You have your own laptop, phone, and reliable internet connection
You're an excellent communicator—written and verbal—and naturally build rapport with others
You're comfortable managing shifting priorities, timelines, and communication
You're highly organized, tuned in to detail, and able to keep people and information moving
You're someone who notices what others need and steps in to make the experience better
Nice to Have
Experience sourcing in industries like AEC, tech, or professional services
Interest in growing into screening, interviewing, or search ownership
Familiarity with LinkedIn Recruiter, boolean search, or automation tools
Experience working in or alongside a recruiting agency or high-volume search environment
Compensation
This is a contract role with flexible structure:
Option 1: Base + commission
Option 2: Commission-only
