JOB PURPOSE:

As a member of Fix Auto's front end team, the Claims Processor will assist customers with the collision repair process and ensure customer satisfaction and confidence in our services and shop.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Claims Processor provides customers, insurance partners, and team members with high-quality, individualized support. The Claims Processor will be responsible for finalizing repair orders, concentrating on preparing the final bill, and playing a crucial role in Fix Auto Sherwood Park as they provide customer confidence and help assist with daily duties to help ensure the shop is running efficiently.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Customer Service

  • Answer phone calls and assist customers and vendors accordingly
  • Contact customers and book their vehicles for estimates and repairs
  • Work with towing companies to arrange vehicle tows and lot moves
  • Answers incoming calls and completes outgoing calls as needed
  • Explain to customers the repair process
  • Take pictures of customer vehicles for the Estimator(s)
  • Finalize repair orders daily
  • Keep all files up-to-date daily
  • Document all conversations with customers and insurance representatives
  • Duplicate estimates
  • Update customers on the process of their vehicle
  • Check customer deductibles
  • Print final customer paperwork
  • QC vehicles upon completion
  • Bill insurance companies
  • Arrange tow in companies for total loss vehicles
  • Support with various AR and AP tasks

The Claims Processor may be responsible for other duties as needed.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Employees may be required to work in potentially hazardous environments requiring personal protective equipment
  • Employees may be exposed to dust, hazardous chemicals and high levels of noise
  • Employees may be exposed to uncomfortable work settings; may have long combinations of standing, crouching, or sitting
  • Repetitive tasks within a fast-paced environment
  • Overtime as required

EDUCATION:

  • High School Diploma (Essential)
  • Post-secondary education is considered an asset (Desirable)

EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience working in a customer service role (Essential)
  • Experience working in the auto-body industry (Desirable)
