We're seeking a passionate and innovative Life Enrichment Coordinator to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will be offering residents a wide range of daily activities that reflects our vision to improve and maintain our residents' quality of life. What You'll Do:

As a key team member of our team at The Dunfield, you will be responsible for:

  • Inspiring and motivating residents to participate in programs and excursions.
  • Organizing and coordinating activities for active daily living of our resident population.
  • Developing and implementing unique, meaningful, personalized programs for a growing seniors residence that breaks the status quo of typical retirement activities.
  • Providing activities orientation to new residents.
  • Updating Residents birthday list, on a monthly basis.
  • Planning our quarterly Meet and Greet.
  • Acting as the go to person on various resident led Committees Groups.
  • Supporting Activities assistant on Memory Care with daily programs.
  • Assisting with creating a monthly calendar of events on a tight timeline.
  • Improving the intellectual and physical health of the residents.
  • Identifying the interests of the resident population to tailor programs around these desires.
  • Assisting with escorting residents to and from activities both on and off site.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized activities environment and supply room.
  • Documenting daily attendance, progress notes and departmental observations.
  • Developing & maintaining a rapport with staff, residents, resident families and volunteers.

Who You Are:

You are an enthusiastic and creative individual with a genuine passion for enhancing the lives of older adults. To succeed in this role, you'll bring:

  • A Diploma in Activation / Recreation Therapy and fitness background an asset.
  • 1+ years experience working with older adults an asset.
  • A natural ability to teach, lead, and inspire groups of people.
  • Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational abilities, and a proven track record of delivering high-quality work under tight deadlines.
  • A flexible and positive attitude, comfortable with changing priorities and able to thrive under pressure to meet resident expectations.
  • Competency in computer applications, particularly Microsoft Publisher, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated, enthusiastic, with a professional and outgoing personality. You're comfortable working both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
