We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Controller to join our growing electrical service contracting firm with $24 million in annual revenue. This individual will oversee our accounting operations, provide financial analysis and ensure the integrity of our financial reporting. Pay Scale:


Benefits: Health plan including dental, vision, 401(k) plan, employer paid short term disability, Paid Vacation, Paid sick leave and 6 paid holidays.


Work Hours: Monday - Friday; 7:00 am - 4:00 pm


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
  • 10+ years of accounting experience
  • Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant designation preferred
  • Extensive knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting
  • Understanding of and ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles
  • Highly proficient with accounting software
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software
  • Previous experience in mergers and acquisitions preferred
  • Prior experience with Sage and ADP

Essential Job Functions:

  • Oversees the operations of the Accounting Department, which include accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and payroll.
  • Oversees training programs and identifies training needs.
  • Provide financial analysis with recommendations to Regional Director and/or General Manager.
  • Maintains a documented system of accounting policies and procedures; implements a system of controls over accounting transactions to minimize risk.
  • Oversees the production of periodic financial reports; ensures that the reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles or international financial reporting standards.
  • Recommend benchmarks that will be used to measure the company's performance.
  • Produces the annual budget and forecasts; reports significant budget differences to management.
  • Provides financial analysis, with emphasis on capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations.
  • Ability to assist other regions with Integration of enterprise solutions connected to the financial function.
  • Works with external auditors and provides needed information for the annual audit.
  • Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements.
  • Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.
