Talon Recruiting has partnered with a market leader in innovative equipment solutions in the industrial, heavy equipment, and material handling sectors searching for a Sales Account Manager to join their team in Calgary, AB.
The successful candidate will provide prompt, courteous and knowledgeable service to clients and customers. The Sales Account Manager is expected to fully understand the customer's requirements and to communicate with the customer throughout the entire sales process.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Drive profitable sales growth by making sales to new and existing accounts across the Southern Alberta region
  • Understand your customers' needs and present cost effective solutions that increase customer spend, along with long-term loyalty and retention
  • Identify and classify account opportunities and potential by establishing call priorities and meeting frequency to secure and maintain new business within the assigned territory
  • Provide Outstanding customer service & after sales support

Qualifications:

  • Ideally, a minimum of five (5) years of related outside sales (technical) experience in the industrial, heavy equipment or material handling sector, working independently to prospect, qualify, develop, and close business through a consultative sales process
  • Proven ability to meet sales targets and develop long-term customer relationships
  • Experience selling to public sector organizations is a definite asset, specifically municipalities and utilities
  • Knowledge of the tendering process and RFQ completion
  • Familiarity with, and an affinity for, heavy equipment in industrial and transportation settings
  • Proficient and comfortable in the use of CRM or sales tracking systems
  • Possession of a valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle
  • Post-secondary education supported by formal sales training would be a definite asset
  • A willingness to travel frequently for customers, tradeshows, etc.
