Roles & Responsibilities

  • Prepares purchase orders and gathers specifications for submittal to raw material, hardware, and subcontract suppliers, including the processing of regular door and parts orders.
  • Maintains communication with Engineering, Production, Operations, and Sales Support regarding job completion and delivery requirements.
  • Sources, negotiates, and manages purchase orders and long-term agreements for raw materials, hardware, and non-inventory purchase requisition.
  • Conducts root cause analysis and develops required preventative action and procedural change activities.
  • Adheres to and enforces compliance with purchasing policies, procedures, regulations, and laws.
  • Participates in Continuous Improvement teams and activities.
  • Administers the processing and maintenance of supplier non-conformance reports.
  • Manages and coordinates open orders and arrival dates for raw materials and subcontractor schedules to ensure they align with scheduled production requirements.
  • Sources, solicits, evaluates, and selects quotes and proposals pertaining to material and service requirements.
  • Manages Kanban tags and ensures timely replenishment of vendor-managed inventory items.
  • Demonstrates flexibility and a proactive approach to taking on new projects and supporting cross-functional business needs.
  • Performs additional duties as required to support efficient and effective company operations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors or Diploma in a related field preferred.
  • 1–2 years of related experience in purchasing or an equivalent administrative function, ideally in a manufacturing environment.
