We are seeking a Full Stack Developer to join the Silk & Snow team. You'll play a key role in contributing to our software development strategy and building out the technological vision by delivering best-in-class digital and retail experiences. In this role, you will work in a multi-faceted role and be responsible for driving Silk & Snow's technology and systems projects. You are team-oriented, versatile, collaborative, and eager to take on the diverse challenges that come with working for an energetic growing company.
What you'll do:
As a Full-stack Developer, you will be working in a fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholders within the company. Your responsibilities include:

• Working alongside the marketing team to develop and maintain eCommerce sites and retail systems
• Optimize website performance through front-end best practices like caching, lazy loading, and image optimization
• Develop and validate test routines and schedules to ensure that test cases mimic external interfaces and address all browser and device types
• Manage and build integrations to third-party systems and test plugins
• Training and guiding the team in DevOps practices, including server management and security best practices
• Collaborate with project team members to ensure requirements are met
• Lead and enable scalability of the technology infrastructure
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and Shopify updates

Required Qualifications:

• 4+ years of proven experience as a Full-Stack Developer with a strong portfolio
• Bachelor of Computer Science or Computer Engineering degree or equivalent
• Experience in PHP, HTML, CSS, Javascript and Javascript libraries such as jQuery
• Experience working with Wordpress, WooCommerce and Shopify is required
• Understanding of Shopify's theme customization, liquid templating language, and the Shopify API
• Experience in responsive web design and mobile optimization
• Experience working in team coding environment
• Excellent understanding of UX/UI design principles
• Experience in Linux server management, AWS deployment and management is an asset
• Familiarity with network, server, and web application security principles and best practices is an asset
