Title: Project Manager

Description:

The role is to provide assistance to the team responsible for supporting and enabling the QuickBooks Canada sales organization with delightful user experiences while achieving business targets. You'll need to apply your mobile development, innovation, and leadership skills to drive the technology and processes of a large-scale application.

Requirements of the role:

  • Come in 3x per week to the Toronto office
  • Project management certified: PMP, CAPM, Agile (certificate is not mandatory, but a big plus. Person can still be considered with project management experience.
  • Experience in finance/with a financial institute a plus!

What you'll do:

  • Project Management Develops end-to-end plans and applies the right project management methodologies, tools, and skills to develop a detailed execution approach that is the right fit for the program.
  • Lead change. Builds strong trust-based teams and thoughtful change management plans to lead and influence a cross-functional team to achieve a shared goal.
    Understands the external environment, overall company strategy and program outcomes to maintain focus and if needed drive pivots and tradeoffs throughout the program.
  • Tracks risks and issues and works with stakeholders to determine a response plan.
  • Stakeholder management / communication Collaborates with stakeholders in Sales and Professional services and go-to-market Builds strong relationships with peers and enabling teams globally to drive operational and commercial outcomes
  • Confident presenting status and needs to senior stakeholders Is persuasive and able to influence/negotiate to drive decision making Identifies when a decision or tradeoff is needed and provides the data required by stakeholders to identify a recommendation.
  • Execution Manages the project/program operating rhythm.

How You'll Do It:

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of a structured project management framework for the team.
  • Assist in gathering functional requirements and developing technical specifications for various projects.
  • Participate in customer-facing meetings to gather feedback and insights that inform service improvements.
  • Collaborate with team members and cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution and alignment with business objectives.
  • Execute project management administrative and tracking tasks
  • Coordinate the allocation of project resources to ensure the project team has what's needed at the right time
  • Monitor project progress and team members' performance and provide updates to project stakeholders
  • Schedule stakeholder meetings, document and generate reports
