Job Title: Bookkeeper

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Bookkeeper to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, reconciling accounts, and supporting the preparation of financial reports. This role plays a vital part in ensuring the companies financial health and compliance with accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Record day-to-day financial transactions in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage)

  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts and bank statements

  • Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable

  • Generate and issue invoices and track payments

  • Monitor cash flow and maintain accurate records of income and expenses

  • Process payroll and government remittances (e.g., HST, WSIB, CPP, EI)

  • Prepare financial reports such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements

  • Support the preparation of budgets and forecasts

  • Ensure all financial records are accurate, up to date, and compliant with local laws

  • Collaborate with accountants during audits or tax filing periods

  • Maintain proper documentation and filing systems for financial records

Qualifications:
  • Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

  • Minimum 3 years of bookkeeping experience

  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or similar)

  • Strong understanding of basic accounting principles

  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Ability to meet deadlines and work independently

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills

Assets (Optional):
  • Experience with Canadian payroll and tax regulations

  • Familiarity with cloud-based accounting systems

  • Bilingual English + Albanian
