We are looking for an experienced Branch Manager to continue to drive the successful operation of the Peace River branch forward. Our Peace River branch has 15 full-time employees. You will be managing inside and outside sales representatives, yard labourers, mechanics, parts technicians, and an administrator.
As the Branch Manager, you are responsible for:
• Representing Rentco Equipment Ltd. as a knowledgeable, professional, and respected brand ambassador who embodies the image and values of Rentco Equipment
• Networking to improve the presence and reputation of the branch/company and representing Rentco in community events to foster community partnerships
• Assessing local market conditions and identifying current and prospective sales opportunities
• Promptly addressing and resolving escalated customer service issues and elevating serious or repeated issues to Senior Management, when required
• Promptly addressing and documenting employee issues and elevating serious or repeated issues to HR, when required
• Scheduling, delegating, and prioritizing work on a day-to-day basis
• Completing A/R and A/P paperwork correctly and on time
• Ensuring quality control for our equipment, yard, and shop through random inspections
• Ensuring proper records are maintained per Rentco procedures
• Collaborating with HR to hire, train, coach, and develop direct reports to meet company standards
• Conducting performance evaluations for direct reports
• Reviewing and approving direct reports hours and submitting them to payroll bi-weekly
• Conducting monthly safety meetings
• Monitoring costs and identifying ways to reduce unnecessary spending
• Ensuring branch revenue meets company targets
• Collaborating with Marketing Coordinator to identify and promote marketing and sales strategies
• Collaborating with Health & Safety Coordinator to ensure safety compliance, manage hazards, ensure safety training for direct reports is current, and investigate safety incidents
You have the following skills & experience:
• 3+ years of Management experience, preferred
• Ability to deliver and promote excellent customer service among staff
• Ability to lead a team tactfully and respectfully achieving results
• Ability to prioritize and delegate tasks to appropriate staff
• Ability to maintain a high level of integrity, confidentiality, professionalism, and accountability
• Intermediate computer skills
• Class 5 licence with a clean abstract and the ability to travel when required
• Ability to work a Saturday and on-call rotation
