About MV Cascadia:

The MV Cascadia is a luxurious 138-foot catamaran designed for adventure and comfort. It can accommodate up to 24 guests and 10 crew, and it offers intimate voyages to explore the wildlife and landscapes of the Pacific NorthWest.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Onboard Marine Engineer to join our dynamic team for the upcoming season. The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for the mechanical and electrical systems aboard MV Cascadia and will play a key role in our expedition operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain all mechanical and electrical systems on the vessel, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
  • Work closely with the Captain to ensure smooth sailing and adherence to company safety protocols.
  • Maintain detailed records such as maintenance logs, defect lists, and oil record books.
  • Assist in planning and executing scheduled maintenance and repairs.
  • Conduct system inspections and ensure availability of necessary supplies and parts.
  • Provide guest and hospitality support as required.

Required Qualifications:

  • Fourth Class Marine Engineer Certificate or higher.
  • Onboard marine engineering experience.
  • STCW Advanced Firefighting and Proficiency in Survival Craft.
  • Marine Emergency Duties (MED) A1/A2 or higher.
  • Current Marine Medical and CPR First Aid certifications.
  • Presentable and professional demeanor in guest environments.
