Position Summary:
The Assistant Hairstylist will support senior stylists and contribute to the overall client experience. The ideal candidate is passionate about hair, has a strong foundational knowledge, and is particularly comfortable working with curly and Afro-textured hair. This is a great opportunity for recent graduates or individuals currently completing hair school who are looking to grow their skills in a supportive, professional environment.

Responsibilities:

• Shampooing, conditioning, and prepping clients for services

• Assisting with chemical treatments such as relaxers and color applications

• Blow-drying and detangling various hair textures

• Supporting with braiding, twisting, and protective styles

• Mixing and applying hair color under supervision

• Maintaining a clean, organized, and hygienic workspace

• Providing excellent customer service and client care

• Learning and growing alongside experienced stylists

Requirements:

• Hair school student or graduate (proof of education required)

• Solid understanding of curly and Afro-textured hair

• Familiarity with relaxers, colouring techniques, and basic braiding skills

• Willingness to learn and take direction

• Strong work ethic, punctuality, and team spirit

• Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends
