Starting Salary: $63,000/annum

The Opportunity:

Reporting to the Sales manager, this position will be focused on supporting Parkland's cardlock business by outbound calling, proactively contacting existing customers and onboarding new customers. The Inside Sales Representative will work closely with the Commercial outside sales teams, plus additional internal stakeholders as needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Performs outbound sales calls to prospective customers via provided and self-generated lists.
  • Performs outbound sales calls to existing Parkland Cardlock and Bulk Fuels customers to win back lost business, retain current accounts, and grow share-of-wallet with existing customers.
  • Proactively perform welcomes calls to newly opened accounts to facilitate and accelerate the onboarding process from account application to first sale.
  • Qualify and close unsolicited inbound sales enquiries within a pre-determined annual volume range; refer larger accounts to appropriate Outside Sales Representative.
  • Periodically performs targeted prospecting activities as determined by Commercial Sales Team.
  • Enters sales leads and updates opportunities in CRM tool.

Requirements:

  • A motivated self -starter, with good organizational skills.
  • Industry experience in Petroleum, Transportation, Construction or Agriculture an asset.
  • Ability to establish effective professional relationships with customers and co-workers.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • 2 years sales or customer service experience.
  • 2-year post-secondary diploma or relevant industry experience.
  • Ability to cold call and generate sales opportunities.
  • Superior oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to multi-task under tight deadlines.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems.
