About the Role

The Business Systems Manager will lead and evolve our business software ecosystem, ensuring it supports scalable growth, process efficiency, and data-driven decision-making. This role will oversee the implementation, optimization, and integration of key business platforms, including Acumatica (ERP), various Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), custom internal applications, a new CRM system currently under evaluation, and other internal tools. Reporting directly to our CFO, you'll lead a team of two software engineers, collaborate with stakeholders across departments, and drive cross-functional initiatives focused on operational excellence. As Longboard continues to grow, this role will be critical in delivering the tools, processes, and insights needed to support ongoing excellence in customer service, manufacturing, and innovation.

What You Will Do
  • Own the company's business systems roadmap – drive long-term strategies for all business systems including our ERP, MES, CRM, and custom tools.
  • Oversee administration and continuous improvement of our ERP, MES and business processes, including incorporating new features, improving workflow effectiveness and efficiency, and reporting.
  • Support the successful implementation of a new CRM platform, ensuring alignment with sales, marketing, and operations processes.
  • Manage MES systems including Lynq, and ensure effective integration with ERP and production workflows.
  • Supervise internal software development – manage priorities, support architecture decisions, and ensure delivery of stable, scalable internal applications.
  • Collaborate across departments to assess needs, gather requirements, and identify opportunities for automation or process improvements.
  • Ensure data integrity and availability across platforms; lead initiatives to improve business intelligence and reporting.
  • Act as liaison with external vendors and integrators; manage licensing, support agreements, and service performance.
  • Build and mentor a high-performing internal software development and project management team, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous learning.
  • Identify and prioritize opportunities to integrate new technology into our existing processes and software. This would include opportunities around Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.
Benefits and Compensation
  • Competitive Compensation: Start with an annual salary between $110,000 - $150,000, with an additional profit-sharing program to reward your contributions to our success.
  • Comprehensive Benefits: Enjoy a well-rounded benefits program, including Health Spending and Wellness Spending Accounts, Catastrophic Insurance, Travel Insurance, and a 4% RRSP Match.
  • People-Centric Culture: Join a team that values collaboration and respect. Longboard is a place to grow personally and professionally, with a commitment to work-life balance and ongoing development.
  • Meaningful Impact: You'll be responsible to lead our new technologies project with the opportunity to work around Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning initiatives.
About You

You are someone who puts people first and consistently looks for ways to improve processes, prioritizing simplicity and transparency. You approach tasks with compassion and sustainability in mind, fostering an environment where human flourishing is valued.

  • 5+ years of experience in a Business Systems Leadership role.
  • Proven track record overseeing CRM implementations.
  • Experience managing, administrating, and continuous improvement ERP (knowledge in Acumatica or equivalent mid-market ERP is strongly preferred).
  • Familiarity with MES systems.
  • Experience managing software development teams and internal tools
  • Experience with change management and digital transformation
  • Strong project management skills and comfort leading cross-functional initiatives
  • Excellent understanding of manufacturing or supply chain workflows
  • Effective communicator with the ability to translate between technical and business needs.
