As the Marketing Manager, Content, you'll be the brand storyteller and lead all written and visual content that connects with our audiences across retail and hospitality channels through social media and websites. Reporting directly to the Marketing Director, you'll lead content strategy and execution across digital platforms, campaigns, and branded touchpoints. This role involves creating engaging content, monitoring social media channels, and analyzing performance to enhance brand awareness, drive engagement, and support marketing goals. You will also be responsible for leading, coaching, and supporting a team of Social Media Specialists/Coordinators and a Digital Marketing Specialist.
What You'll Do:
- Lead Content Creation & Strategy: Responsible for the ideation to execution of all content across social channels. Lead social campaigns, identify and manage influencer partnerships, and develop social media plans for local events. Develop and produce high-quality photo and video content weekly, recommending and testing new video styles. Brainstorm and plan content themes, review optimal posting times, and audit content calendars. Collaborate with designers and videographers, and actively participate in marketing team meetings to propose social media campaign ideas.
- Community Engagement & Reputation Management: Monitor comments, DMs, and tags; engage with the audience, and escalate customer service issues. Proactively engage with local businesses, food bloggers, and influencers, and identify and engage with user-generated content. Address negative feedback promptly and professionally, monitor social listening tools, and alert stakeholders to significant reputation threats.
- Performance Analysis & Optimization: Generate concise weekly performance reports and prepare comprehensive monthly reports for management, including competitor analysis and strategic recommendations. Present quarterly social media reviews, outlining progress against KPIs. Conduct daily and weekly in-depth analysis of social media performance to identify trends and top-performing content. Monitor website traffic driven from social media and track conversions.
- Industry Awareness & Development: Stay updated on industry news, competitor social media, and trends. Experiment with new social media and website features or content formats.
- Team Leadership: Manage content creation from concept to delivery, provide direction and feedback, and work closely with design and digital teams.
What You Bring:
- A Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in content marketing, social media management, or brand communications. Retail/hospitality marketing experience is a major plus.
- Experience with organic, paid social, website platforms (Shopify/Wordpress), and developing content (photography, reels) and copy.
- Experienced people leader, responsible for coaching and supporting a team.
- Proficiency with social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, TikTok) and management tools (e.g., Meltwater, Sprout Social).
- Basic graphic design skills (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) and video editing ability.
- Proven success leading content strategies and managing cross-functional projects.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong organizational skills, and ability to analyze data.
- Willingness to stay current with industry trends.
