Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Operations Team Lead to oversee and coordinate the daily logistics operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a small team, optimizing transportation and distribution processes, ensuring timely delivery of goods, and driving continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Lead and supervise the logistics operations team, providing guidance, coaching, and performance feedback.
  • Coordinate and monitor daily transportation, shipping, and receiving activities.
  • Ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment and delivery in accordance with service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Collaborate with internal teams (warehouse, procurement, customer service) and external partners (carriers, vendors) to optimize logistics performance.
  • Analyze operational data and KPIs to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for process improvement.
  • Assist in managing logistics budgets, controlling costs, and negotiating rates with service providers.
  • Enforce compliance with safety standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Handle and resolve logistics-related issues and escalate complex problems as needed.
  • Prepare reports on logistics performance, productivity, and team metrics.
  • Participate in strategic planning for logistics and supply chain initiatives.
  • Other duties as assigned

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
  • 3+ years of experience in logistics, transportation, or operations, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or lead role.
  • Strong knowledge of logistics systems, transportation management, and inventory control.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and logistics software (e.g., TMS, WMS, ERP).
  • Spanish is an asset
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends or evenings if necessary.
