The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
role will be serving the community of
Points West Living Heritage House in Vegreville, Alberta.The
LPN is
responsible for ensuring top resident care is a priority, with a high level of focus in time management.

- Performs duties and services required, and Supports the Residents lifestyle in accordance with the Residents individualized Care Plan as authorized by Homecare
- Provides medication assistance to the Residents, according to current Well-Being Strategies
- Mentors and delegates nursing tasks to Care Partners as per accepted practice standards and Wellness Strategies
- Identifies health, safety or maintenance issues, and reports as required
- Ongoing monitoring and continuous quality improvement and adherence
to
safe
work
practices
- Provide impartial support and excellent relationship building skills to
nurture, understand, and respect residents, families, visitors, and external Care Partners to
ensure
the
vibrancy
of
our
community
- Liaising with Doctors, Pharmacists, Homecare Nurse, Manager, families, and any other people required to facilitate the highest care for the Resident
- Participates in ongoing educational programs to update knowledge on applicable topics
- Attains
and
maintains
ongoing
compliance
with
appropriate
local,
provincial,
and
federal
regulatory
standards
Foundational knowledge and experience to grow from:
- Must be a graduate of a recognized LPN program
- Must be registered and in good standing with their related Licensing Body (CLPNA)
- Must hold valid certification in First Aid and CPR
- Prior to employment, obtain a clear criminal record check with vulnerable sector check
