Stepping Stones Crisis Society is a not-for-profit organization deeply rooted in the heart of our community. We are dedicated to the prevention of family violence through public awareness, outreach and support. As we continue to grow and expand our impact, we are seeking a passionate Marketing & Communications Specialist to join our team.

As the Marketing & Communications Specialist, this role is central to strengthening community engagement and ensuring the consistent delivery of the organization's message across all platforms. This is an opportunity to join a purpose-driven organization during a time of significant and positive transformation, as we transition into a newly developed facility. The ideal candidate is a highly organized, detail-oriented marketing professional with a strong understanding of brand development, communications strategy, and digital engagement. This individual is adept at working independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment, is responsive to guidance, and thrives in a dynamic, mission-focused setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement multi-channel marketing campaigns to support organizational initiatives and fundraising efforts
  • Design branded materials including brochures, newsletters, digital graphics, and promotional collateral
  • Maintain and enhance the SSCS's social media presence, website content, and e-newsletters
  • Draft press releases, media advisories, and key messaging to support public relations objectives
  • Ensure brand consistency across internal and external communications
  • Capture and manage photo/video content for promotional and archival purposes
  • Analyze engagement metrics and campaign performance to guide future strategies
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support events, special projects, and administrative needs

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field
  • Minimum of 2 to 4 years of progressive experience in a marketing or communications role; experience in the non-profit sector is considered an asset
  • Proficiency with digital marketing tools, social media platforms, and website management
  • Strong knowledge of graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) and content management systems
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated attention to detail
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Capable of working independently and collaboratively within a team-based environment
  • A valid driver's license and reliable access to transportation are required
