Our client, a leading brand in the contract furniture industry, is seeking a highly motivated A&D Market Manager to join their team in Vancouver. This is a unique, high-impact role that combines territory sales leadership with focused engagement in the Architecture & Design (A&D) community.
We're looking for a relationship-driven and strategic professional who can build strong connections within the design community, grow market share, and collaborate with a talented sales team to drive results across the region.
Key Responsibilities
A&D Market Development
- Develop and execute a regional strategy to grow brand awareness and increase specification within the A&D community.
- Build strong relationships with architects, designers, and specifiers through regular communication, presentations, and industry events.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to the design community, providing expertise on product applications and project support.
- Track A&D project opportunities and guide them through the specification and sales funnel.
- Collaborate with internal marketing and product teams to create relevant materials and programs.
- Organize and host A&D events such as CEUs, showroom tours, and product launches.
- Monitor trends and competitive activity in the A&D space to stay ahead of the market.
- Lead territory sales planning, forecasting, and execution in alignment with overall business goals.
- Identify new business opportunities and build relationships with end users, corporations, and public sector clients.
- Support and strengthen partnerships with local dealers through training, strategic planning, and joint business development efforts.
- Ensure consistent, high-level representation of the brand in the market by maintaining showroom standards and engaging key decision-makers.
- Provide timely feedback and insights on market conditions, client needs, and competitive positioning to senior leadership.
- Seek continuous improvement opportunities in distribution strategies and client engagement.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Interior Design, Architecture, or related field.
- 5–7+ years of experience in the contract furniture industry, with a strong understanding of the A&D sales process.
- Established relationships within the A&D community in Vancouver are essential.
- Demonstrated success meeting or exceeding sales targets in a design-driven sales environment.
- Strong interpersonal and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and educate key stakeholders.
- Experience coaching or supporting dealer and/or internal sales teams.
- Business-savvy, self-motivated, and well-versed in CRM and MS Office tools.
- Must be based in the Vancouver area and open to local travel.
