About the Role

As an AI Literacy Specialist, youll draw on your teaching and instructional design experience to create engaging artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) learning assets for Amiis AI Literacy Platform. This is a one-year term position with the possibility of extension. You will leverage your strong organization, communication, and pedagogical skills to collaborate with the Training Product Team ML Educators, ensuring that a variety of AI content is accessible to key target audiences.

Reporting to the AI Literacy Manager, Training, the AI Literacy Specialist is a key member of the Training Product Team, and will contribute to the execution of Amiis business functions. This position focuses on content excellence, creating a meaningful learner experience, and supporting the success of the team in delivering impactful AI literacy programming to individuals and companies.

Required Skills / Expertise

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the AI Literacy Manager to align learning assets to existing learner personas and contribute to their ongoing refinement over time
  • Design and build engaging and instructionally sound learning assets for Amiis AI Literacy Platform
  • Collaborate with the Training Product Team ML Educators to identify opportunities to create new AI and ML learning assets for Amiis AI Literacy Platform
  • Monitor developments in AI to inform timely and relevant learning content
  • Collaborate with the Training Product Team ML Educators to ensure the AI and ML learning assets are up-to-date, accurate, and aligned with defined learning pathways and diverse learner profiles
  • Collaborate with the AI Literacy Manager to ensure the AI and ML learning assets are aligned with the Amii brand standards and AI Literacy strategy
  • Maintain and improve systems and tools in the organization that lead to measurable efficiency gains
  • Encourage and identify problem-solving approaches to work while acting as a collaborator

Required Qualifications:

  • Post-Secondary Degree in Education, Instructional Design, Communications or related field
  • Experience developing learning assets specialized to target audiences
  • Demonstrated interest in emerging technologies, including AI, and their applications across various contexts
  • Excellent written and visual communication skills, including the ability to storyboard or script content for various media formats (e.g., video, interactive modules, microlearning)
  • 1 to 3 years of teaching or facilitation experience, which could include but is not limited to K to 12, postsecondary, or corporate training settings
  • Experience with a variety of educational technologies and online learning tools (nice to have)
