Responsibilities:

  • Follow the company's health and safety requirements.
  • Assist the superintendent with paperwork, documentation, photos, and inspections.
  • Assist in excavating, demolition, formwork, waterproofing, landscaping, finishing, and all other aspects of general construction
  • Assist with the forming, pouring, and finishing of concrete projects as required
  • Spread, level and smooth concrete using rake, shovel, hand tools and power tools
  • Operate various hand power equipment, such as jackhammers, saws, grinders, drills and injection pumps.
  • Mold expansion joints and edges using edging tool, jointer and straight edge
  • Build, erect, align and dismantle forms for various concrete structures and pier foundations utilizing concrete forming systems
  • Provide support through various hands-on tasks such as setting up and removing traffic cones.
  • Load and unload equipment and construction materials.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Requirements:

  • Must be 16 years of age or older to work on a construction site, as per the Ontario Occupational Health & Safety Act.
  • Access to reliable transportation or the ability to get to the job site.
  • A valid drivers license with a clean driving record is an asset.
  • Physically fit and able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Available to work 10-hour days Monday to Friday from 7 am to 5 pm, or night shifts Sunday to Thursday from 10 pm to 6 am.
  • Possession of a Pleasure Craft Operator Card (PCOC).
  • First aid training certification.
